Welcome to Roberto's II Ristorante
"There are meals taken to banish hunger and there are meals eaten as celebrations of food and time spent over food. there is something spirtual about the second kind of meal and magical too. The food turns into laughter. Water dissolves pain, cups and glasses ring like bells... The heart is server and the soul is filled, everyone is drunk with joy"

I just can't say enough on how amazing the food is here. We have enjoyed this restaurant since the late 1970's. I made the mistake of moving to Florida in 1990 and I make it a must visit to have dinner here anytime I'm in North Jersey.
I happened to be in the area this week and made a point to stop for dinner. Still amazing as ever! Food is fresh, tasty and big portions. My favorites are the stuffed artichokes, ceaser salad and linguini carbonara. Other notable dishes are the zuppa de clams and linguini and white clam sauce. Plus there are always amazing specials. Don't hesitate, stop by and enjoy a great meal with great atmosphere. You won't regret it. Tell em Rich sent you.
My wife, two friends and I ate dinner here. We were looking for "old-school" Italian and we found it here. A friend and I had that night's special of Italian sweet sausage and meatballs with spaghetti. I normally would not order this at a restaurant but decided to go with my gut feeling. The meatballs, 3 total, were baseball sized. They were some of the best meatballs that I have ever had. The Italian sweet sausage, 2 large pieces, were very good with just a hint of fennel. The spaghetti noodle was cooked just how I like it, al dente. The best was the tomato sauce/gravy. It was an excellent basic tomato sauce, not sweet and acidy. The portions are large. We had enough food for two meals.
The staff was attentive with out intrusive. After dinner, we had a nice chat with some of the staff. (We were some of the final customers that evening.) We gave them positive verbal feedback. My wife was a part owner of a restaurant and we really enjoyed our dinner here, the quality of the food, and the service. We will return here again when we are back in Edgewater.
I come here whenever I'm in town. The food is amazing and portions are generous. Some favorites that come to mind. Pounded pork chop: awesome, tender, and very refreshing. If you don't like red onions stay away. To my taste this is perfect. Pappardelle with short rib Raghu: I dream about this stuff. Perfect texture and deep meaty flavor. Grilled Ribeye: amazing sear and so flavorful and tender. Shrimp La Bella - love the beans and shrimp. There is lots more, never had a bad meal here.
